Alas, the May and June shows that had booked for the Sound It Out series before the pandemic (even if not yet announced) have been postponed indefinitely. (There were some good ones: Dave Ballou/Herb Robertson MakroQuarktet; Miguel Zenon & Dan Tepfer duo; a double-bill with Sam Ospovat/Matt Mitchell/Kim Cass + the Sally Gates Trio; and more…) The series will be on hiatus, possibly until 2021. We look forward to returning to our lovely venue of Greenwich House Music School as soon as it’s smart and safe to start presenting live music in close quarters again. In the meantime, I will be posting words and images on the site regularly over the next months as a way of keeping in touch and promoting the great artists who perform for Sound It Out.
