Electric guitarist Ricardo Grilli – who made his series debut with a standout performance in June’s fifth-anniversary Sound It Out “Motian in Motion” show – returns this time as a leader, fronting a virtuoso band with drummer Kendrick Scott, bassist Orlando le Fleming and pianist Glenn Zaleski. The New York Times has described Grilli as “a post-bop guitarist with a sideline interest in the cosmos and a taste for the ultramodern.”
