Brussels-based saxophonist – and pioneer of the aulochrome (a double soprano sax) – Fabrizio Cassol visits from Europe to play with a colorful American band, featuring trumpeter Amir ElSaffar, guitarist David Gilmore, bassist Matthew Garrison and drummer Daniel Dor. After his decisive journey with Aka Pygmies in the forest of Central Africa, Cassol has led the avant-jazz trio Aka Moon. For 25 years, he has dedicated his musical work to transcultural approaches.
