Cellist-composer Hank Roberts – a longtime fixture in the vintage Downtown music scene alongside the likes of Bill Frisell and Tim Berne – makes his first appearance in the Sound It Out series with his color-rich Sextet. The New York Times has praised the “wisdom” and “catholicity” in Roberts’ music, which will be recorded live in this Greenwich House performance.
